Hands down one of the best sandwich shops in Oakland. I really appreciate that I can get a Bahn Mi or western style sammie or delicious curly fries at this no frills, the proof is in the food, and relatively affordable spot near Jack London.

I don't normally go for pastrami, but someone shared a bite of theirs and I knew I had to go back just for that. Got it on a beautiful sourdough roll, lean thin layers of meat, and tangy sauerkraut!! It took a little bit of time to make, because they know how to make a great sandwich! Layers are perfectly balanced and writing about it makes me what to get one RIGHT NOW!!

There's a solid selection of cold salads, great chips, and wide selection of drinks. Thanks so much Sierra Deli & Market, you make the neighborhood better!!! Appreciate how nice your staff is too.

LLLLLOVE THIS PLACE! Beautiful delicious sandwiches, sides, and snacks. THEY SELL GOOD BEER TOO! And the COffee is NO JOKE! Really good! This is a good place to stop to get stuff before hitting Lake Merritt for a picnic

    4/26/19 UPDATE:

This place is still the HELLAGOOD! Lunch time is busy but they still make quality food and get you out pretty quickly. Today my Banh mi took a little longer bc I got the grilled pork and they grill it fresh to order. Don't mind waiting. Today I also got the broccoli salad and pasta bow tie salad. At first I was a little ?? About paying $4.95 for a small container but they stuff it and there's definitely enough in there, it's worth the price too! I'll attach new pics today...

Stopped by Sierra Deli & Market after my workout and boy I'm glad I did! They offer a lot of different sandwich and salad options, perfect for lunch time. What I went with this time was the seafood salad. A hefty salad with shrimp and crab (imitation) meat and it was delicious. I substituted the thousand island dressing for balsamic vinaigrette but I'm sure any dressing would be a good option. Very nice workers that gave me a bunch of recommendations (totally going back to try the pastrami sandwich) and were very patient with me while I made my decision. Definitely coming back to this place ASAP!

One of the best delis in Oakland. I've been coming here for ten+ years, and their quality and service is unmatched. The attention to detail, the friendliness of the staff, and the selection of drinks and snacks is amazing. I highly recommend their burgers, curly fries, spring rolls, ceasar salads, and desserts.

A couple of days ago, I wandered in here to pick up some lunch and a snack for later.  At random, I picked up the carrot cake and found that it's still the most delicious carrot cake that I could even have dreamed up.  I don't know where you guys find your talents in food prep but it's as if everything to touch, turns to gold.  My only fear now is that you might decide one day to turn these talents towards investing and will strike real gold instantly and then want to retire!
